How a case comes together
Every Detective Aria adventure is written from scratch for one child. Here's the whole trail, from the moment you order to the click of the lock.
1. You tell us about your detective
After checkout we send a short intake form: your child's age and grade, reading confidence, favorite themes (space, dinosaurs, spies, animals…), the occasion, and anything to avoid. This is what makes the case feel personal rather than generic.
2. We write and test the puzzles
We build a mystery with a clear storyline and a set of puzzles calibrated to grades K–5. Each puzzle contributes a digit toward the final 3-digit combination, so solving the story is what opens the box. Younger detectives get picture- and pattern-based clues; older ones get word, math, and logic puzzles.
3. You receive the Case File
Within five business days you get a print-at-home PDF: the story, the clues, setup instructions, and a grown-ups-only answer key with the final 3-digit code. Print it, set your combination box to the solution, and hide the trail however you like.
4. Or choose the Full Investigation Kit
With the kit, there's nothing to print. We ship you the whole adventure — the printed story, clues, and puzzles — along with the 3-digit combination treasure box and a curated surprise gift, packed and ready to go. The only thing delivered digitally is the answer key, emailed to the grown-up in charge. The kit ships within the United States only.
5. The box clicks open
Your detective works the trail, dials in the code they earned, and the box opens. Case closed — and a story they'll remember longer than most gifts.
